250 years ago, a local farmer was moved to share God’s love with his neighbors. Today his legacy and the legacy of hundreds of disciples who have gathered at Salem UMC continue to make their mark in serving the Lord. Will you be a part of Salem’s rich history and legacy?

Since 1774, the community has experience God’s love through Salem and have grown spiritually. George Adam Geeting took a simple structure and turned it into a setting where the community would come and learn about the Good News of Jesus Christ. It was a place where hope was found, and lives transformed. The vision of Salem United Methodist Church is to be “the heart of the community with the community at heart.”

We want to ensure that the church continues to usher in God’s love and be place of hope, and a space for gathering and caring for our community. We hope you will prayerfully consider being a part of this important effort and join us to ensure a vibrant future for the church.

This special 250th Capital Campaign Collection will run from now until December 31, 2024. We have a goal to raise $10, 000 and use that money to make much needed improvements to our aging facility. If you would like to give to this special campaign, please mark your gift as “250 Capital Campaign” so that we can designate your giving appropriately.

This special collection is not the same as our weekly giving/tithing. The offering collected each week is used to aide in our discipleship providing Bible studies, curriculum, music and programming, online worship and fellowship activities. It is also used to organize mission work like providing food and care for local families, and pastoral counseling and care, along with serving needs around the world.

This special 250th Capital Campaign Collection will make it possible to improve our facilities and help us continue to pass on our faith. The success of the campaign will require a commitment from all of us to complete much needed updates to our facilities so we can achieve our ministry goals.
